Did you know military veterans enjoy a 25% discount on any Eaze products they order, year-round. Safe access to cannabis should be a priority for veterans, and for us, it always is. Scroll to the bottom of the article for more details on how to receive the discount!

Beyond providing consumers with the most trusted and highest-quality cannabis products the market has to offer, Eaze has always been dedicated to change. The cannabis industry has come a long way from prohibition’s past, but there’s still a lot of work to be done when it comes to undoing all of that damage.

The Veterans Exploring Cannabigerol for Sleep, 2021 (ECS21) Study is a great start, providing groundbreaking clinical research that will help determine whether or not CBG, a non-psychoactive cannabinoid, might help veterans get a better night’s sleep.

The study is co-sponsored by Metta Medical, a veteran-founded cannabis company dedicated to clinical research (and the parent company of LEVEL), and the Veterans Cannabis Group: a safe educational resource and family support group for veterans who use medical cannabis.

Veterans and active military personnel have famously been cast aside within the legal cannabis industry. While veterans have incredibly limited access to legal weed (depending on the region they reside in, among countless other roadblocks), active military personnel are absolutely forbidden from accessing the plant in any form.

Instead, veterans and soldiers are often prescribed opioids to help deal with their issues, which are highly addictive and can have effects anywhere from dangerous to fatal.

The ECS21 study combats this concept, attempting to both learn more about the different functions of the plant and destigmatize cannabis within the military community once and for all.

“We know that your service didn’t end when you took off the uniform. We’re asking you to answer the call one more time to help our fellow brothers and sisters,” said Metta Medical founder and U.S. Navy veteran, Chris Emerson, Ph.D.

“Our first clinical study focuses on an issue that could help other veterans. Clinical research is one way we can pay it forward. We want a rigorous and irrefutable method so we can properly share what we learn with the medical community.”

So far, the study has the support of a few different veterans associations and advocacy groups, like Operation EVAC, the Santa Cruz Veterans Alliance, and, of course, the Veterans Cannabis Group.

The study aims to provide some more insight into cannabis use for veterans and how it can improve their quality of life. Cannabis has often been used to improve sleep in consumers, and CBG is particularly recognized for its anti-insomniac properties.

Any California veterans interested in participating in this cutting-edge research should visit to learn more about the study and maybe even join in.
