Cannabis and music have gone hand in hand for decades–there’s just something about the openness of the plant that allows you to experience music in a way you never have before. As the Grammys approach, we’ve taken it upon ourselves to put together every nominated Album of the Year, and the best way to get high to each one.

1. Chilombo – Jhené Aiko + Vaya

This R&B album is an ode to relationships and the ups and downs we experience as we navigate our way through them. With smooth, sensual melodies and self-aware lyrics, this album moves powerfully and poetically through your soul. As you join Aiko on her reflective journey, indulge in some Ponche Suave by Vaya–a highly-potent strain that allows for a relaxing, full-body effect.

2. Black Pumas – Black Pumas + Kingston Royal

Black Pumas are a Texas-based duo who utilize early-1970s nostalgia to create sounds that are gritty and funky on their debut, Grammy-nominated album. If any album on this list is worthy of getting high to, it’s definitely Black Pumas. As you enjoy the Creedence Clearwater Revival-esque sound of this elite duo, puff on some of Kingston Royal’s Sugar Mintz, a potent indica-dominant hybrid with a sweet flavor and a heady, social high.

3. Everyday Life – Coldplay + Everyday

Coldplay is known for their dreamy yet earnest sound, accompanied by the gentle vocals of Chris Martin. This album is just as moody as anyone could have hoped for, with two distinct halves titled Sunrise and Sunset. As you make your way through the rich instrumentals and tortured ballads, accompany Everyday Life with Everyday’s Super Silver Haze–a classic strain for a classic band.

4. Djesse Vol.3 – Jacob Collier + Circles

Four-time Grammy Award-winning composer, producer, and instrumentalist Jacob Collier is up for another with his latest album, Djesse Vol.3. With heavy, booming instrumentals and chromatic vocals, this volume of Djesse is an exploration of the electronic world, including elements of groove, soul, dance, and hip hop. Groove to it with some of Circles’ Pink Champagne Base Camp, a sleepy, calming strain meant for a good time.

5. Women in Music Pt. III – HAIM + Pure Beauty

HAIM is the female musical trio of your dreams, and their third album is easily their most dynamic. Rich with melody, personality, and intimacy, Women in Music Pt. III is full of momentum. The album’s accompanying music videos are perhaps the most exciting thing about the release, featuring the trio’s iconic walk. As you make your way through this album, get lost with some of Pure Beauty’s Bermuda Triangle, a potent hybrid with a sweet, earthy scent and powerful punch.

6. Future Nostalgia – Dua Lipa + Emerald Sky

Although summer 2020 wasn’t exactly one for the books, Future Nostalgia was definitely the anthem as we tried not to go stir crazy from our homes. With beats reminiscent of the 1980s and Dua Lipa’s signature powerhouse vocals, this album will have you dancing from beginning to end without a break. A sultry spin on Kylie Minogue-esque disco, this album pairs perfectly with Emerald Sky’s Wild Berry Gummies, which will reward you with a well-earned good night’s sleep after your dance sesh.

7. Hollywood’s Bleeding – Post Malone + Kiva Confections

Rapper Post Malone is known for his melancholic disposition, and his latest album definitely keeps the aesthetic alive. His lazy, sleepy approach to vocals pairs powerfully with his stunning lyrics, and just when you think you have him figured out, he moves seamlessly between a gentle falsetto and a gravelly croon. Have your Posty with a side of Kiva’s Lost Farm Live Resin Watermelon Chew, a snack that’s almost as powerful as the songwriter himself.

8. folklore – Taylor Swift + PLUS

Everyone’s favorite country-singer-turned-pop-sensation has released her latest album, and the Swifties have been going crazy about it all year long. Swift’s eighth album, released as a surprise, is filled with cinematic, fictitious love songs that make you feel like you’re missing someone you’ve never even met. Pair this melodious journey with PLUS’s Blackberry & Lemon UNWIND gummies, perfect for a mellow high that leaves you feeling relaxed and joyous–just as Taylor would have wanted.
