Here’s a deliciously refreshing twist on an American tradition: the Ganja Julep – perfect for a hot late-summer afternoon; and with relaxing CBD only (and no THC), it’s more relaxing than a day at the races. Just don’t tell any Kentucky Derby fans that we put weed and apple brandy in their precious Mint Julep.
2 oz Laird’s Bottled In Bond Straight Apple Brandy
1/2 oz Simple Syrup
Unflavored CBD drops from Select (1-5 ml, your preference, available on Eaze Wellness)
Fresh mint
Pick off 6 mint leaves from the stem and drop them in a julep tin (use the bottom of a cocktail shaker or any metal cup if you don’t have a julep tin). Add the simple syrup and CBD drops and gently muddle together the leaves, syrup, and drops. Fill halfway with crushed ice, pour in apple brandy and stir. Add ice until there is a cone of ice above the rim of the tin. Grab 4 sprigs of fresh mint and gently slap them to release their oils, then stick the bouquet of mint into the ice. Let rest for a few minutes, serve with a straw.
